Callis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll. Jabbar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Passion Pit - Carried Away. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar tries to clinch
and Callis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Callis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Callis misses with a two punch combination.
Jabbar looks to clinch
and Callis counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jabbar tries a head kick but it misses.
Callis takes a swing at Jabbar's ribcage but misses.
A thudding body kick lands there by Callis!
Callis lands a slapping body shot.
Jabbar closes the distance and clinches up with Callis, looking for a takedown. Jabbar pushes Callis against the cage but Callis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jabbar looks winded!
Jabbar throws a head kick that misses
and Callis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Callis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jabbar sprawling to the canvas! Jabbar rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Callis finish him?!
Jabbar is rocked!
Callis darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Jabbar's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Callis before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eric Ernest Callis!
