And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rama takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bruschi throws a head kick that misses.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bruschi.

Bruschi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rama, pushing him back against the cage.

Bruschi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bruschi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rama's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rama is on top in guard.

Rama wants to pass the guard but Bruschi is keeping the position.

Rama is looking to advance position but Bruschi won't allow it.
Rama wants to take a breather but Bruschi is having none of it.

Bruschi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rama is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bruschi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bruschi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dominic Bruschi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bruschi throws a sloppy head kick and Rama moves out of range easily.

and Bruschi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rama's guard now.
Bruschi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rama on the ground.

Bruschi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Bruschi wants to control from the top but Rama keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bruschi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bruschi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bruschi showed some decent athleticism there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rama is on top in guard.

Rama drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rama seems to have locked his on tight now - Bruschi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rama, as he picks up the win!
