Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanaki Yotomishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams's entrance music is Oasis - The Hindu Times. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Nanaki Yotomishi! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yotomishi fails with a takedown attempt. Williams wants to clinch up but Yotomishi keeps it at a distance. An inside leg kick from Williams misses. Williams scores with a head kick.

Williams closes the distance and clinches. Yotomishi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ben Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nanaki Yotomishi. Williams stalling in the clinch but Yotomishi improves position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maybe Williams would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Williams throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

It looks like Nanaki Yotomishi has been cut. Come on Williams - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Yotomishi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Williams keeping moving, preventing Yotomishi from controlling successfully. Yotomishi drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Yotomishi off! Yotomishi jumps back into Williams's guard. Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams keeping moving, preventing Yotomishi from controlling successfully. Yotomishi tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yotomishi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Williams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Williams has escaped and now he's on top! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi working for a triangle but Williams defends it easily.
Williams slips nicely into half guard. Yotomishi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though. Yotomishi is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi is not content to let Williams control the position. Yotomishi is trying to get back to full guard. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yotomishi keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ben Williams wasn't doing enough on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yotomishi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yotomishi tries to advance to mount but Williams instead regains half guard. Yotomishi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That was a close round but I would say that Ben Williams will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nanaki Yotomishi's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Williams wants to land a leg kick but Yotomishi is out of range. Yotomishi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Williams's calf. A chopping leg kick lands by Williams. Yotomishi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Yotomishi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Williams slips a straight right by Yotomishi. Yotomishi looking to score a takedown here. Williams is defending well but Yotomishi drives through and ends up in Williams's guard.

Yotomishi is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Yotomishi is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him? Yotomishi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yotomishi showed some decent athleticism there. Yotomishi seems to have recovered his senses. Yotomishi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well. Yotomishi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Williams controls Yotomishi momentarily but Yotomishi frees himself. Williams keeping full guard, as Yotomishi tries to pass. Yotomishi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Williams dives on top into guard.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Williams connects with a leg kick. Yotomishi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Yotomishi is looking to clinch. Williams throws a wild body kick that Yotomishi sees coming a mile off. Williams throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Williams keeps Yotomishi at a distance using the push kick. Williams lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A slapping leg kick lands for Williams.

Yotomishi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yotomishi is out of range and Williams settles back down. Yotomishi tries to keep at a distance but Williams has taken the fight into the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Williams just misses with a elbow thrown towards Yotomishi's brow. Williams throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Williams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yotomishi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Williams to the mat. Williams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Yotomishi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yotomishi, into his guard. Williams pushing down on Yotomishi's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams moves nicely into side control. Yotomishi is looking to regain half guard here but Williams keeps moving and retains side control. Yotomishi defending against the ground and pound. Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yotomishi has escaped the position, nice work there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yotomishi is looking to reverse the position. Yotomishi looking for a sweep but Williams has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams controlling his opponent. Williams wants to take Yotomishi's back here but Yotomishi is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Williams fails to move to back control. Nanaki Yotomishi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Williams can't control as he wanted to and Yotomishi manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Williams passes to full mount! Ben Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams looking to control but Yotomishi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Williams blocks Yotomishi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Yotomishi tries to get back to half guard but can't. Williams trying to control but Yotomishi is having none of it. Yotomishi looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lull in the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
