The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chilemba is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gotti with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gotti lands with a slapping head kick.

Chilemba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gotti as he jumps to the side.

A nice inside leg kick there by Gotti. That's going to slow Chilemba down.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Chilemba shoots in for a double leg but Gotti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Chilemba sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Gotti fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chilemba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gotti lands a big head kick that sends Chilemba tumbling to the mat! Gotti takes a step backwards and waves Chilemba back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Chilemba is trying desperately to land a takedown but Gotti is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Chilemba.

Chilemba takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Chilemba seems to have recovered his senses.
Horrible takedown by Chilemba or perhaps it was just good defense by Gotti which made him look bad.
