Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kira Miyata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Le Fevre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miyata comes into the arena with BOA - energetic blaring out of the sound system. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyata tries to close the distance and clinch but Le Fevre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Le Fevre moves into range and clinches up with Miyata.
Le Fevre slowing the pace effectively.
Miyata has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Le Fevre is trying to keep an underhook but Miyata manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyata looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Miyata is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Le Fevre is trying to get back to full guard.
Miyata keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Le Fevre is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Miyata has latched onto it... Big trouble! Miyata pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Le Fevre is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Miyata!
