Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tat Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tat Taylor was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rold misses with a low kick.
Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt.
Rold misses with a leg kick.
Taylor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rold throws a leg kick which misses Taylor's front leg but catches the back leg as Taylor tries to avoid it.
Taylor throws a right and a left that Rold avoids nicely.
Taylor tries to work over Rold's front leg with a kick but Rold checks it.
Taylor misses with a body kick.
Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Rold tries to throw a body punch but Taylor avoids it by throwing Rold back against the cage.
Rold goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Rold breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Rold shows good takedown defense.
Enrique Rold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tat Taylor.

Rold misses with a series of wild punches.
Rold bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taylor's head backwards.

Rold cracks Taylor with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rold scores with a hook.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rold.
Rold connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Taylor's hands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Taylor throws a lazy right hand but Rold sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rold. Taylor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Enrique Rold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Good leg kick by Taylor there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rold feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Taylor's calf.
Taylor misses with a few strikes there.
Taylor closes the distance and clinches.
Rold lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Rold misses with a knee to the head.
Rold tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The referee calls for Taylor to work.
Taylor drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Taylor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taylor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rold is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Taylor as he works his way to full guard.

Taylor postures up in Rold's guard and throws a big left but Rold blocks it.

Well Rold has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
