Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walter William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes the Boom-Intimidation. Justin Hall has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Walter William's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Hall!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for William!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
William tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hall misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
William wants to control but Hall postures up.
Hall tries to score with some ground and pound. William controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
William is looking to regain half guard here but Hall keeps moving and retains side control.
Hall tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
William pushes Hall away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hall gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
William wants to control but Hall postures up.
Hall in side control, just content to control the action for now.
William can't do much from the bottom here.

Hall misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Hall breaks from William's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hall misses with a head shot.
William seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hall cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hall with shots to the head and body - William looks very uncomfortable down there.
Hall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

William holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hall tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hall avoids the attempt from William to control.
Hall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Hall cracks William with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

William is bucking up trying to escape but Hall cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Hall dominated that round.
That's time! William's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hall's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hall duly obliges.

Hall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. William looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
William is trying to control Hall's posture but Hall avoids it.
William is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

William tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
William shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but William was well out of range. Poor timing from Hall.

William gets caught flat footed, as Hall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as William works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
William looking to control.

William manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
William can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hall is looking to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hall is looking to improve his position but William isn't that keen on the idea.

William trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hall is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hall is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hall trying desperately to get to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hall wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by William.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
William trying to control but Hall is having none of it.
Hall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hall has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of William's lack of action.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Justin Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Hall misses the shot to the body.
Hall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. William tries to avoid it but Hall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag William to the ground. William escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Justin Hall wasn't active enough on the ground.
William slips a jab from Hall.

Hall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Let's hope that Hall has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
William is pushing Hall's head away, looking to escape. Hall manages to hold on to the position though.

Hall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. William quickly recovers to half guard.
Hall takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Justin Hall has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hall is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in William's half guard.

Well Hall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
