Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goa Goa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Valentine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Goa Goa! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Valentine coming out on top. Valentine clobbers Goa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Good standup being displayed there by Valentine as he connects with a hook. Goa has his takedown stuffed and Goa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Valentine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Goa. Valentine paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A jab from Valentine does it's job there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goa. Vincent Valentine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goa Goa. Nice sprawl there from Valentine as Goa shoots in. Valentine is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Valentine to the mat! Valentine manages to get full guard. Valentine not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Valentine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Valentine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valentine is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Goa throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Goa preventing the sweep. Valentine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Valentine is trying to keep Goa in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Goa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Goa postures up and lands a big shot to Valentine's brow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Valentine being controlled here, momentarily. Valentine working a defensive guard here.
Goa throws a big elbow that misses. Valentine wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goa connects with a couple of short punches. Goa trying to control the position from guard on top but Valentine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Goa preventing the sweep. Goa postures up and lands a big shot to Valentine's brow. Goa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Valentine trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Goa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Goa wants to control from the top but Valentine keeps moving. Goa throwing strikes from guard but Valentine blocks nicely. Goa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Valentine is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Goa rolls with it to try and escape but Valentine cranks on the arm and Goa is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
