Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sook Madik! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson drives through and clinches with Madik against the cage.
Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Madik bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson clinches. Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Johnson clinches up against the cage. Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Madik tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily and Johnson counters by clinching up. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses. Madik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Madik shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Madik in a clinch.

Madik shoots and misses and Johnson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Madik's knee momentarily. A cross from Johnson lands. This has been an exciting period of action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Madik. Johnson clinches up with Madik and pushes him back against the cage. Madik is looking to take this one to the mat. Johnson scores with a knee to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Johnson cracks Madik with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Johnson looks to land a combination but Madik avoids it well. Madik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Johnson counters with a head kick that drops Madik to the mat! Madik scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Madik is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Johnson.

Madik seems to have recovered his senses. A knee to the head by Johnson.
Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Madik tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madik chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johnson can pounce on him.
Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Come on Johnson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Madik pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Madik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Madik showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnson.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Madik shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Madik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson breaks the clinch.

Johnson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Madik circles away quickly and effectively. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Madik tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Anthony Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sook Madik. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. Madik is trying desperately to land a takedown but Johnson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Madik. Madik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Madik goes for a takedown in the clinch but Johnson prevents it.

Madik working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson is trying to get back to his feet. Madik working away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Madik is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Johnson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Madik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Madik closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Madik pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Madik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Johnson counters with a crisp one two that drops Madik! Johnson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Madik to his feet! Madik is in big trouble! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Madik is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Johnson Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Madik is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Anthony Johnson! Anthony Johnson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
