Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devils Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Marlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Marlow has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Devils Reaper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Devils Reaper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andy Marlow!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Andy Marlow has been cut.
Reaper lands a right hook to the body.
Marlow stuffs the takedown.

Reaper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marlow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Reaper looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reaper wants to control but Marlow is keeping him busy.
Reaper is staying tight to Marlow's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reaper is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marlow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Reaper controlling the position.
Marlow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reaper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marlow is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Reaper decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Marlow looks winded!
Marlow shoots in but no luck this time.
Andy Marlow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marlow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Reaper counter with a right hand.

Reaper drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reaper's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Devils Reaper has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Reaper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Reaper passes to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Reaper looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Reaper misses with the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reaper lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Marlow down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reaper wants to control but Marlow is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Andy Marlow's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Marlow fails with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Reaper. Those never looked like landing.
Reaper swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Marlow holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Reaper is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Reaper gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Marlow.
Reaper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Marlow is breathing heavily.
Reaper goes for a takedown attempt but Marlow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Reaper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marlow pinned against the cage. Marlow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devils Reaper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reaper scores with a jab to the body.
Reaper scores with a body shot.
Marlow slips a jab and a cross from Reaper.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reaper. Marlow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marlow misses with a takedown attempt
and Marlow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Reaper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marlow.
Reaper misses the shot to the body.
Reaper cracks Marlow with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Reaper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reaper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marlow can do to turn this around?
Marlow looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reaper content to control rather than advance.
Marlow is looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Devils Reaper has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Marlow dodges the punch combination from Reaper.

Reaper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Marlow's half guard.
Reaper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reaper passes the guard and advances to mount!
Marlow is trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reaper tries to control but Marlow wriggling away.
Marlow wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Reaper.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devils Reaper dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Andy Marlow's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Reaper shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marlow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Reaper is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Marlow is trying to escape and Reaper transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Marlow is forced to tap! Nice work there by Reaper! Very nice indeed!
