Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cory Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arjel Dacir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's entrance music is Metallica - Enter Sandman. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Dacir which made him look bad.

Dacir closes the distance and clinches.
Smith looking to throw knees to the head but Dacir is blocking nicely.
Dacir tries to work over Smith's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Dacir is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dacir down to the mat. Dacir avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dacir eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dacir moves away.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dacir swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dacir throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Dacir throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Dacir stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dacir wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cory Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Dacir circles away.
Dacir misses with a low kick.
Dacir takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Dacir tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dacir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dacir tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dacir to the ground. Dacir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith has closed the distance and engaged Dacir in a clinch.
Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dacir avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Dacir lands a body punch in the clinch.
Dacir misses with some punches.
Dacir lands a nice uppercut.
Dacir keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smith's efforts to push away.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smith takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Dacir lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Dacir swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A head punch on the inside from Dacir fails to land.

Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dacir fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Arjel Dacir is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith clinches up against the cage.
Dacir has Smith pressed against the cage, preventing Smith from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Smith's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Smith tries for a takedown but Dacir manages to get underhooks.
Dacir is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith is trying to break the clinch but Dacir is controlling him.
Dacir lands with a light punch inside.
Dacir misses with a short punch on the inside.

Smith wants to stay close but Dacir steps back to make room for something. Smith seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Dacir and Smith drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
