Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cristobal Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Take Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Cristobal Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Take Down! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz looks for a takedown but Down sprawls well. Diaz fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nick Cristobal Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz moves into the clinch successfully.
Diaz tries to pull guard but Down won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Cristobal Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Down has Diaz pressed against the cage, preventing Diaz from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Down should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Down tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away. Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Down tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Down manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Down has managed to clinch.
Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz tries to pull guard but Down forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Down pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Down circles away.
Diaz gets caught flat footed, as Down shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Down trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Down wants to stand and escape but instead Diaz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Diaz lands a couple of elbows. Down wants to stand up but Diaz is controlling him. Down keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Down pulls Diaz in close to prevent any damage. Down keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Diaz connects with a couple of short punches. Down being controlled here, momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz tries to free his leg and advance position but Down is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Down is trying to control the position but Diaz postures up. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Down is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A slow jab from Diaz misses its intended target. Down misses with a wild combination.
Diaz rushes Down and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Diaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Down looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Down pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Excellent takedown into side control there by Down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down is trying to get an arm triangle but Diaz is defending well. Diaz manages to get back to half guard. Diaz trying to control here.
Down looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Diaz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Down's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Down's back! This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Down trying to control the hands but Diaz won't let him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Take Down will probably get the nod. That's time! Diaz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Diaz tries to clinch but Down is having none of it. Down changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Down tries to stand but Diaz is controlling his head. Down scores with a couple of short elbows. Diaz gets back to half guard. Diaz is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Down is looking to advance position but Diaz won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Diaz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Down avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Down working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz keeping full guard, as Down tries to pass. Take Down has got the better of the ground game so far. Down throws a strike but Diaz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Diaz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Diaz wants to control from the top but Down keeps moving. Diaz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Down is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Diaz drops back looking for a leg! Down is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Down manages to kick Diaz off! Diaz jumps back into Down's guard. Down is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz postures up.
Down wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment. Diaz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Down is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Down is keeping the position for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Diaz enables Down to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diaz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Down defends well. Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Down! Down tries to hold on but Diaz pushes him away. Diaz goes for an armbar but Down turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Down. Down controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Down scoring with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diaz keeping full guard, as Down tries to pass. Down drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Down jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Diaz is trying to control the position but Down postures up. Diaz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Down really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Down can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Take Down showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Down is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Down winds up and cracks Diaz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Down tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diaz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diaz. Down trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Down must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Diaz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Down is looking to stand up but Diaz won't let him. Down trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Down is working Diaz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Down postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Down arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Diaz's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
