Kalaveikko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Laid to Rest kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomppa Kalaveikko!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sianpaa throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kalaveikko's head.

Sianpaa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kalaveikko actively working from the bottom here.
Sianpaa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sianpaa is pressing down on Kalaveikko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kalaveikko is holding on for now.
Sianpaa looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kalaveikko is looking to improve his position.
Sianpaa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sianpaa is looking to pass Kalaveikko's guard but actually Kalaveikko recovers to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kalaveikko keeping moving, preventing Sianpaa from controlling successfully.

Petteri Sianpaa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kalaveikko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Kalaveikko gets caught napping as Sianpaa dives in and scores a takedown. Kalaveikko manages to retain guard.
Kalaveikko has a closed guard, preventing Sianpaa from standing up.
Sianpaa wants to pass the guard but Kalaveikko is keeping the position.

Kalaveikko is looking for a triangle but Sianpaa pushes his legs off easily.

Sianpaa trying to control but Kalaveikko is working from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Petteri Sianpaa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sianpaa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kalaveikko swinging wildly here.

Sianpaa looking to score a takedown here. Kalaveikko is defending well but Sianpaa drives through and ends up in Kalaveikko's guard.
Sianpaa is breathing heavily.

Kalaveikko has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sianpaa doesn't defend quickly enough and Kalaveikko has managed to lock this one up! Can Sianpaa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kalaveikko on a fantastic submission victory.
