Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daiki Hitoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Redford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daiki Hitoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Redford!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitoshi ducks right into an uppercut from Redford.
Hitoshi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hitoshi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Redford connects with a single shot there.
Redford misses with a hook. Hitoshi ducked under it nicely.
Hitoshi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A left and a right from Redford both land. Nice combination.
Redford looks to land a combination. Hitoshi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hitoshi shoots in for a double leg but Redford sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hitoshi shoots for a takedown but Redford saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Redford scores with a jab. Hitoshi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Redford tests Hitoshi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redford cracks Hitoshi with a good jab.
Redford lunges at Hitoshi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hitoshi's hand.
A cross from Redford lands.
The fighters circle momentarily. Redford darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redford stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hitoshi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Redford tries to avoid it but Hitoshi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Redford to the ground. Redford escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daiki Hitoshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hitoshi ducks right into an uppercut from Redford.
Redford has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Redford moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bob Redford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hitoshi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Redford cracks Hitoshi with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hitoshi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Redford smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hitoshi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Good exchange - Redford coming out on top.
Hitoshi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Redford scores with the left hand. Hitoshi knows he should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice shot lands for Redford.

No joy there for Redford, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Donk. Redford catches Hitoshi right on the button with a cross.

Hitoshi scores with a takedown into Redford's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hitoshi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hitoshi is breathing heavily.

Hitoshi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hitoshi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Redford working a defensive guard here.

Hitoshi drops back looking for a leg! Redford is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Redford manages to kick Hitoshi off! Hitoshi jumps back into Redford's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hitoshi tries to free his leg and advance position but Redford is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hitoshi slips nicely into half guard.

Hitoshi is trying for a kimura here. Redford looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hitoshi wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Daiki Hitoshi!
