PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Project Fighter looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Project Fighter! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angel Colon! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Fighter takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fighter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Colon quickly recovers to half guard. Fighter is looking for a kimura here.
Fighter prevents Colon from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter passes to side control. Fighter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fighter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Colon is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Fighter has hold of Colon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Colon seems comfortable defending it but Fighter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Colon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Colon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fighter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Project Fighter! Project Fighter retains his light heavyweight title!
