Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vecheslav Gurin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragos Podgaetschii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gurin comes to the cage accompanied by Dolphin - I Will Live. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vecheslav Gurin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dragos Podgaetschii!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Podgaetschii lands a two punch combo.

Gurin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Podgaetschii napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Gurin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gurin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Gurin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Podgaetschii stacks Gurin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Podgaetschii!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vecheslav Gurin.
I think Podgaetschii has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
