Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Vanderr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Edwards might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Feiticeira. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Vanderr!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderr checks the leg kick.
Vanderr throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Edwards counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Vanderr!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Edwards in particular looking to stall.

Edwards not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Edwards throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Edwards is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Edwards seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vanderr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vanderr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Vanderr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vanderr there as he acknowledges the shot.

Edwards uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vanderr has time to react.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Edwards lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vanderr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vanderr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Edwards, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
