Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Drens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Drens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Drens. Hall closes the distance and clinches. Hall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Drens doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hall counters with a lovely shot to the body. Hall swinging wildly here.
Good exchange - Hall coming out on top. Drens has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Drens there as he acknowledges the shot. Hall swinging wildly here.
Hall uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drens has time to react. Good leg kick by Hall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drens with a lazy takedown attempt and Hall makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Drens tries for a takedown but Hall circles away easily and Hall counters with a slapping leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathew Drens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hall.
Hall scores with a nice right hand.
Hall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Drens has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hall lands with an overhand left. Hall drops Drens with a right and a left! Hall comes rushing in but Drens regains his composure and manages to keep Hall in guard.
Drens is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hall wants to get up but he can't break Drens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Oh Drens is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hall passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Drens defends it well. Drens seems to have got his legs back now. Hall wants to pass the guard but Drens is defending well. Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hall is trying to control the action in half guard but Drens is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hall passes the guard and advances to mount! Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drens is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Drens is surviving well by controlling Hall's body position as best he can. Drens taking shots to the head. Hall prevents Drens from getting the reversal. Hall gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Hall misses with a series of wild punches.
Hall throws a series of punches but Drens moves out of range. Jesse Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hall lands with a nice combination. Drens backs away looking to recover.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hall's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hall duly obliges. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hall, right into the meat.
Hall looks to land a combination. Drens sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hall lands a left and a right that sends Drens crashing to the canvas! Hall dives into mount looking to finish! Hall connects with a bit shot that sees Drens covering up! More strikes from Hall and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hall is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Hall! An out of breath Jesse Hall thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
