Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNulty has chosen Enter Sandman by Metallica as his entrance music. Andrew Wall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jimmy McNulty 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy McNulty !
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - McNulty coming out on top.
McNulty connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wall's hands.
Wall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McNulty moves away.
Wall throws a body punch but McNulty moves out of range.
Wall takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McNulty throws a lazy uppercut
and Wall counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McNulty connects with a body shot.
Decent striking displayed by McNulty there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A telegraphed right hand from McNulty misses the target.
No joy there for Wall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McNulty circles away quickly and effectively.
Wall scores with a one two! McNulty had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
McNulty works Wall's body with a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.

McNulty clinches.
McNulty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wall walks away with a smile on his face. McNulty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McNulty moves into the clinch.

McNulty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McNulty throws a shot to the body.
McNulty connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Andrew Wall has been cut.
Wall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McNulty .

McNulty gets a clinch.

McNulty escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wall throws a right and a left that McNulty avoids nicely.
McNulty takes a swing at Wall's ribcage but misses.
McNulty misses with a left hand
and Wall counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McNulty thinking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McNulty .
Wall throws a nice looking combination but McNulty bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wall gets tackled into the cage by McNulty . McNulty maintains the clinch.
Wall takes an elbow to the forehead.
McNulty lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

McNulty lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
McNulty lands a body punch.
Wall is trying to maintain a safe position but McNulty gets an underhook and turns Wall into the cage.

McNulty decides to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

McNulty working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McNulty is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wall is aware though and is defending well.

McNulty looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wall wants to get up but he can't break McNulty 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

McNulty has his foot on Wall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wall works his way back into a safe position though.

McNulty had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wall defends it easily.
McNulty has a closed guard, preventing Wall from standing up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wall moves out of range as McNulty strikes.
McNulty swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wall on the wrong end of a nice jab.
McNulty 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wall under the eye.
McNulty comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McNulty looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wall takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wall takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wall takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Wall misses with a left hand
and McNulty counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

McNulty moves into the clinch.
McNulty prevents Wall from breaking the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for McNulty .
Wall is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

McNulty manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wall tries to free his leg and advance position but McNulty is retaining full guard.

McNulty is looking for a triangle but Wall pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McNulty is staying active underneath Wall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jimmy McNulty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wall gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McNulty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wall counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McNulty moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McNulty slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jimmy McNulty seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Wall is rocked!
McNulty leaning against his opponent.
McNulty tries to pull guard but Wall holds him up against the cage and eventually McNulty drops back down to his feet.
McNulty lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Oh Wall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

McNulty breaks from the clinch.
Wall seems to have got his legs back now.

McNulty scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Andrew Wall's cut is getting worse.
McNulty fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wall throws a right and a left that McNulty avoids nicely.
Wall closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McNulty chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McNulty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wall throws out the jab.
McNulty is looking to clinch but Wall is avoiding it.

Jimmy McNulty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McNulty connects with the punch.
Wall takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McNulty to score with a decent uppercut.

McNulty closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Wall! McNulty dives in looking to finish! Wall is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy McNulty !
