Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad Black!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a lunging right hand

and Black counters by moving into the clinch.
Diaz wants a takedown.

Diaz jumps into guard, dragging Black to the mat.
Diaz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Black has gone for a leg lock! Diaz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Black's guard.
Black keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Black can do anything to dispel that myth.
Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Norman Diaz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Black looks for a takedown but Diaz sprawls well.
Black tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Black dives in and grabs Diaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes down on Black's head and hops out.
Norman Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Black.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Black sprawls well. Black wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.

Black goes for a takedown in the clinch but Diaz prevents it.

Black has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diaz pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Black looks winded!
Diaz stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Black jumps guard but Diaz turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Diaz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Black is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Diaz is trying to break the clinch but Black is controlling him.

Diaz successfully pulls guard.
Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Black!
Diaz lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Black hang on?
Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Diaz lands a big shot there that rocks Black but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Diaz! Black is hurt baaadly! Diaz is firing away with more strikes - Black is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
