Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gomi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Scary. Takanori Gomi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiu Jitsu connects with the punch.
Jiu Jitsu misses with a series of wild punches.
Gomi works the jab nicely.

Jiu Jitsu darts in trying to clinch
and Gomi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jiu Jitsu!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gomi tries to stand but Jiu Jitsu is controlling his head.
Jiu Jitsu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomi tries to get to full guard but Jiu Jitsu has control of the leg.
Jiu Jitsu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomi keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gomi tries to roll over but Jiu Jitsu keeps him under control.
Jiu Jitsu sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gomi defending well though.
Gomi wants to get back to full guard but Jiu Jitsu has passed into side control.
Jiu Jitsu throws an elbow but Gomi slips to the side and avoids it well.
Gomi is looking for a sweep.
Jiu Jitsu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gomi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gomi is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jiu Jitsu is working to tighten is grip on Gomi's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gomi has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jiu Jitsu is really squeezing tight and eventually Gomi passes out! Jiu Jitsu breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mr Jiu Jitsu!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Mr Jiu Jitsu waved his t-shirt featuring Empire Threads's logo in front of the cameras.
