The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Smirnov on his heels. He'll look to pass Smirnov's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Smirnov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nero gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nero has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Smirnov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Nero has his hands clasped together but Smirnov extends an breaks Nero's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Smirnov.

Ruslan Smirnov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
