And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Withrow!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Withrow tries a head kick but it misses.
Withrow takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Garcia moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Jack Withrow has been cut.
Garcia moves out of range of the body kick from Withrow.
Garcia blocks a head kick by Withrow.
Garcia misses with a hook. Withrow ducked under it nicely.
Garcia scores with a hook to the body. Withrow takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Garcia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Withrow sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Garcia lands a slapping body shot.
Withrow looks winded!
Withrow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Garcia.
Withrow avoids a punch combination nicely.

Garcia cracks Withrow with an uppercut from hell and Withrow crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Garcia's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Withrow is refusing to be controlled, as Garcia sits in half guard.

Garcia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Withrow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Garcia.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Garcia is looking for a kimura but Withrow is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage.
Withrow wants to get back to his feet.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Withrow just misses with a punch to the body.
Withrow stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Withrow doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Garcia lands a slapping body shot.
Withrow is breathing heavily.
Withrow takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Withrow throws a series of punches but Garcia avoids them all with ease.

Garcia digs a good body shot into Withrow's ribs.

Garcia thuds a left hand into Withrow's body.
Garcia throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Withrow's head.
Garcia dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Withrow. That did some damage!
Garcia changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Garcia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Withrow can do to turn this around?
Garcia fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Withrow to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Withrow looks to clinch but Garcia throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Withrow taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Chris Garcia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
