Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lews Therin Telamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Kopacz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lews Therin Telamon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Kopacz! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Telamon takes a swing at Kopacz's ribcage but misses. Kopacz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kopacz tries to clinch but fails miserably so Telamon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kopacz keeping moving, preventing Telamon from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lews Therin Telamon. Kopacz tries to clinch up but Telamon circles away and keeps his distance. Kopacz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kopacz moves in looking to clinch but Telamon pushes him off. Kopacz is looking to clinch. Kopacz tries to close the distance and clinch but Telamon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Telamon keeps the fight on the outside. Telamon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Telamon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kopacz on his heels. He'll look to pass Kopacz's guard now, I'm sure. Telamon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Telamon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Telamon trying to control the position from guard on top but Kopacz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Telamon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kopacz is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Telamon trying to control but Kopacz is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Lews Therin Telamon just wasn't active enough. Telamon throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Telamon keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kopacz tries to clinch up. Kopacz wants to clinch. Telamon looks to land a body kick but Kopacz moved away. Kopacz fails in his attempt to clinch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kopacz enables Telamon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kopacz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Telamon wants to control from the top but Kopacz keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Telamon pushing down on Kopacz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Telamon is trying to control the action in half guard but Kopacz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Telamon works his way into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Telamon working for a guillotine from mount but Kopacz is in no mood to give up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Telamon has hold of Kopacz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kopacz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kopacz tries to buck Telamon off but he can't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lews Therin Telamon dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kopacz doesn't manage to clinch there - Telamon circles away.
Telamon throws a lazy right hand but Kopacz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Telamon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Telamon wants to pass to mount but Kopacz is defending the position. Telamon trying to control the pace. Telamon wants to control but Kopacz is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Telamon is looking for a kimura but Kopacz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Telamon to get the leverage. Telamon seems to be working for a kimura but Kopacz defends the submission attempt. Telamon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Telamon uses his free foot to push down on Kopacz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kopacz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Telamon looking to control and managing it successfully. Telamon working for a submission but Kopacz is keeping him at bay. Telamon trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Telamon lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kopacz hang on? Telamon is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Telamon!
