Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lombard has chosen Retaliator as his entrance music. John Haigh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Haigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacoby Lombard!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh blocks a leg kick.
Lombard takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Some wild striking there from Haigh.
Lombard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lombard lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Haigh backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheers as Haigh lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lombard doesn't seem phased though.
Haigh throws a hook to the side of Lombard's head but Lombard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Haigh cracks Lombard with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Haigh has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lombard to stand back up!
Lombard is rocked!
It looks like Jacoby Lombard has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Haigh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lombard is still on wobbly legs! Can Haigh finish him?
Lombard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Haigh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lombard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Haigh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lombard is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Haigh pushes a forearm under Lombard's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lombard is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Haigh!
