5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Morales! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lisiewicz. Lisiewicz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Morales can't do much from the bottom here. Lisiewicz tries to stand but Morales is controlling his head. Morales parries the strikes from Lisiewicz easily there. Lisiewicz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Morales to escape.
The strikes coming from Lisiewicz are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Lisiewicz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Morales sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Lisiewicz moves into full mount! Lisiewicz working the ground and pound effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morales is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lisiewicz lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Lisiewicz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lisiewicz punching from mount but Morales doing a good job of avoiding damage. Lisiewicz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Morales is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Morales and Lisiewicz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Morales isn't going anywhere. Morales is looking to reverse the position. Lisiewicz working the ground and pound but Morales is defending the strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morales can do anything to dispel that myth. Sloppy strikes there by Lisiewicz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lisiewicz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Lisiewicz working the ground and pound. Morales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lisiewicz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lisiewicz with the ground and pound but Morales regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Lisiewicz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lisiewicz is looking for a kimura here.
