3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Franklin Aggot! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carneiro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aggot swivels and escapes. Aggot stuffs the takedown. Carneiro shoots and misses and Aggot counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carneiro! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Carneiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Aggot is trying to get an arm triangle but Carneiro is defending well. Aggot trying to control the action but Carneiro is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Carneiro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Aggot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carneiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. What's Carneiro going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Aggot wants to control but Carneiro is keeping him busy.

Aggot tries to stand but Carneiro is controlling his head. Aggot swings around for an armbar but Carneiro sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Aggot's guard. Carneiro forces his way into half guard. Carneiro is looking to take a break and control but Aggot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carneiro is trying to work for a kimura but Aggot is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carneiro seems to be looking for submissions.
Aggot looking for submissions off his back. Carneiro is trying to control. Aggot wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Aggot looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Carneiro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Aggot has managed to free his arm - good work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aggot actively working from the bottom here. Carneiro seems to be working for a kimura but Aggot defends the submission attempt. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aggot can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aggot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carneiro is working away from the top position though. Carneiro trying to control from half guard but Aggot is working away. Carneiro is thwarting Aggot's attempts to control the position. Carneiro is keen to just control but Aggot is a slippery customer. Carneiro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aggot sees it coming and defends easily. Aggot actively working from the bottom here. Carneiro slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aggot is looking for a sweep. Carneiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Aggot is staying active underneath Carneiro, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carneiro moves into full mount! Aggot won't be happy about that! Carneiro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Aggot has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Carneiro has control of Aggot's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Aggot regains control of the situation pretty easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aggot tries to hold on but Carneiro postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Carneiro dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Aggot takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Carneiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aggot swats him away and circles back towards the center. Carneiro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aggot counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Carneiro has Aggot pressed against the cage, preventing Aggot from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Aggot jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carneiro walks away with a smile on his face. Aggot gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Aggot forces Carneiro back against the cage and clinches. Aggot pulls guard effortlessly. Carneiro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Carneiro forces his way into half guard. Carneiro wants to take a breather but Aggot is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carneiro is thwarting Aggot's attempts to control the position. Aggot wants to improve his position but Carneiro is controlling well.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daniel Carneiro! A determined Daniel Carneiro didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
