Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Wabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olivier Levasseur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Wabbit!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Olivier Levasseur!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wabbit misses with a low kick.
Levasseur tries to clinch but Wabbit is having none of it.
Levasseur closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wabbit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Levasseur loads up on a big right hand but Wabbit slips the punch.

Levasseur fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wabbit, pushing him back against the cage.
Wabbit has Levasseur pressed against the cage, preventing Levasseur from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wabbit throws a head punch that misses.
Wabbit tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Levasseur blocking some punches.
Wabbit lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Wabbit lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Levasseur or not.
Wabbit lands a shoulder strike.

Levasseur decides to pull guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wabbit throws a strike but Levasseur rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wabbit is looking to stand up but Levasseur isn't so interested in that idea.

Wabbit throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Levasseur.
Levasseur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wabbit swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Levasseur ducks under a wild hook from Wabbit.
Levasseur throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No joy there for Wabbit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Levasseur closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wabbit counters with a left to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Levasseur tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wabbit swivels and escapes.
Levasseur fails with an attempt to clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Levasseur on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Levasseur, as that shot connected.
Wabbit loads up on a big right hand but Levasseur slips the punch.
Olivier Levasseur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wabbit's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wabbit duly obliges.

Levasseur moves away from the strike by Wabbit.
Levasseur closes the distance looking to clinch
and Levasseur takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wabbit throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Levasseur throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Wabbit lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Levasseur circles away quickly and effectively.

and Wabbit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's time! Wabbit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Levasseur is looking to clinch but Wabbit is avoiding it.
Levasseur misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wabbit swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wabbit shoots in looking for a takedown but Levasseur manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wabbit's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Wabbit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Levasseur.

Levasseur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Levasseur takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Levasseur fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wabbit has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wabbit throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Levasseur looks to land a combination but Wabbit avoids it well.
Wabbit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Levasseur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wabbit swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wabbit is pressed up against the cage. Levasseur has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wabbit down to the mat. Wabbit avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wabbit throws a hook but Levasseur blocks it.

Levasseur throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wabbit was covering up waiting for the punch and Levasseur finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Levasseur wants to get up but he can't break Wabbit's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wabbit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wabbit tries to get out of the position.
Wabbit can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Levasseur controls the pace.

That was a close round but Roger Wabbit did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Oooooh!!! Wabbit has knocked Levasseur down with a huge combo! Wabbit steps away and waves a wobbly Levasseur back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Wabbit cracks Levasseur with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Levasseur falls to his knees and Wabbit doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Wabbit!
