Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Raheem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hustlin. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Raheem!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raheem throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Raheem trying to control from the bottom.
Raheem moves into full guard.
Jackson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Raheem is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.
Jackson distracts Raheem with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Raheem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Raheem utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Raheem is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shawn Jackson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Raheem throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson moves out of range of the body kick from Raheem.
A punch combination from Jackson misses.
Raheem ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Raheem.
Jackson moves out of range of the strikes.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raheem but Raheem pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jackson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jackson wants to control but Raheem is keeping him busy.

Raheem is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raheem gets full guard.
Raheem might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jackson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Raheem avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Raheem is on top in guard.
Raheem would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Raheem trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Raheem wants to stand and escape but instead Jackson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Raheem keeps moving.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raheem swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
Jackson prevents Raheem from getting back to his feet.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Raheem is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shawn Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Raheem thumps Jackson with a low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Raheem keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Abdul Raheem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Jackson.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Raheem throws a jab when Jackson was well out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A solid leg kick lands there for Raheem.
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
Raheem slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Shawn Jackson has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Raheem.
Shawn Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Raheem scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raheem as he avoids it easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raheem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Raheem is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
Raheem just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Raheem pulls Jackson in close to prevent any damage.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jackson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Raheem has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Raheem gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Abdul Raheem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Raheem throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.
Raheem thumps Jackson with a low kick.
Abdul Raheem is winning the standup battle so far.
Raheem ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Raheem scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Raheem moves into the clinch.

Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Raheem darts in trying to clinch
and Jackson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Raheem avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Raheem. That snapped Jackson's head back.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Raheem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Raheem throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
That kick from Raheem tenderised Jackson's leg. Jackson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Raheem connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jackson momentarily.
Raheem misses the shot to the body.
Raheem tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abdul Raheem dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Shawn Jackson's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Raheem stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Raheem wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jackson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jackson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Raheem shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Raheem scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson is rocked!
Raheem fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Raheem finish him?
Raheem feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Jackson crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Abdul Raheem!

Abdul Raheem decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
