Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jackson. Jackson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Mendoza moves out of range easily.
Mendoza bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jackson's head.
Mendoza stuffs the takedown.
Mendoza throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mendoza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
Zachary Mendoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Jackson.
Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Mendoza which made him look bad.
Jackson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jackson connects with a high kick.
A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mendoza changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mendoza connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Jackson tumbling to the canvas! Mendoza pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Jackson was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Zachary Mendoza!
