Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balkan throws a right hand that Craig ducks under and follows up with a left that Craig also avoids with ease.
Craig shoots for a takedown but Balkan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Balkan misses with a two punch combination.
Balkan throws a sloppy head kick and Craig moves out of range easily.
Balkan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Balkan misses with a wild combination.
Balkan throws a head kick but Craig moves out of range.
Balkan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Craig tries for a takedown but Balkan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Craig blocks a jab.
Craig wants to clinch.
Craig fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Balkan throws a right and a left that Craig avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Balkan, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Balkan against the cage but Balkan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Craig moves in looking to clinch but Balkan pushes him off.

Balkan fails to land with a series of punches.
Balkan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Balkan shoots for a double leg takedown but Craig sprawls well. He's pushed Balkan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Balkan looks gassed!
Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Balkan, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Balkan against the cage but Balkan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Balkan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Craig.
Balkan stuffs the takedown attempt from Craig. Craig gets slowly back to his feet.
Craig shoots in looking for a takedown. Balkan tries to sprawl out of it but Craig keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Balkan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Craig misses with a body kick.
Balkan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Craig tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Balkan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Craig shoots for a takedown but Balkan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Balkan misses with the combination.
Balkan throws a nice looking combination but Craig bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Craig shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Balkan throws a right hand that Craig ducks under and follows up with a left that Craig also avoids with ease.
Balkan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Balkan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Balkan misses with the combination.
Balkan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Craig shoots in looking for a takedown. Balkan tries to sprawl out of it but Craig keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Balkan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boris Balkan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Craig stuffs the takedown.
Balkan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Balkan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Balkan misses with a wild combination.
Balkan throws a sloppy head kick and Craig moves out of range easily.
Balkan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Craig lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Craig closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Balkan to the mat! Balkan manages to get full guard.
Craig wants to control from the top but Balkan keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balkan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Craig pushes down on Balkan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Craig stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Balkan stuffs the takedown attempt from Craig. Craig gets slowly back to his feet.
Craig tries to close the distance and clinch but Balkan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Craig decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Balkan is refusing to be controlled, as Craig sits in half guard.
Balkan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Craig connects with a nice short shot to Balkan's temple.
Well, if Craig is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Craig wants to lay and pray for a moment but Balkan keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Craig in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Balkan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Craig!
