Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Self (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Wilker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry Self! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Wilker! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Self falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wilker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wilker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Self's efforts to push away. Self wants to get back to striking at distance but Wilker won't allow it.
Self is trying to break free. Self is trying to break the clinch but Wilker is controlling him. Wilker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Self pulls him back up using the underhooks. Self wants to break free but Wilker has control.
Self is trying to force a seperation but Wilker has the dominant position. Self is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Self gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wilker.
Wilker manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wilker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Self defends well. Wilker seems keen to control Self's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilker has a closed guard, preventing Self from standing up. Wilker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Self knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilker on the ground. Wilker passes into half guard. Self is trying to stand up here but Wilker is controlling him well. Self wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Wilker.
Wilker looking for a guillotine from mount but Self is having none of it. Wilker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wilker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Self is surviving well by controlling Wilker's body position as best he can. Poor strikes thrown by Wilker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilker jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Self manages to avoid the submission attempt. Self is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wilker has just dragged him back down to the mat. Self bucks up and tries to throw Wilker off but instead Wilker has got his back! Self is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. What can Self do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Wilker throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Self is looking to stand up but Wilker won't let him. Wilker pulls Self in to control the position. Wilker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Self defends well. Self would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Self could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wilker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Wilker stops Self from standing up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erik Wilker wasn't active enough on the ground. Self throws a series of punches but Wilker moves out of range. Self jabs Wilker right on the nose. Wilker blinks but takes it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilker closes the distance and pushes Self back into the cage. Wilker prevents Self from breaking the clinch. Wilker is trying to drag Self to the mat but Self just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Self is trying to break free. Good body shot from Wilker.
Wilker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wilker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Self is trying to break free. Wilker wants to take the fight to the mat but Self manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Larry Self has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Wilker. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A frustrated look appears on Self's face as he tries to break the clinch. Wilker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wilker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A punch combination from Self misses. Wilker slips a jab and a cross from Self.
Self looks to land a combination but Wilker avoids it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wilker drives through and clinches with Self against the cage.

Let's hope that Wilker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Wilker stands and steps away. Self gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Self jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wilker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sloppy strikes from Self. Those never looked like landing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Self defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wilker. Erik Wilker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Self is fighting to break Wilker's control of his arms but Wilker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Self trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wilker's guard. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Larry Self. I think Wilker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
