Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Kiptanui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Protacio Jawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kiptanui might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Teflon Brothers - Hoodilammas feat. Juju . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Kiptanui counters with a head kick.

Kiptanui is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jawo to keep the fight standing.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kiptanui - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jawo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jawo is controlling an arm, preventing Kiptanui from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Kiptanui is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jawo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiptanui swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jawo is now in Kiptanui's guard. A big mistake from Kiptanui there, giving up the dominant position!

Jawo content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kiptanui has locked up a guillotine! Kiptanui's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jawo is holding on here and Kiptanui must be using up a lot of energy. Jawo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kiptanui gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Gabriel Kiptanui decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
