Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Washington comes to the cage accompanied by Queen - I Want It All. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Martin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A slow jab from Martin misses its intended target.
Washington takes a swing at Martin's ribcage but misses.
A swing and a miss from Martin.
Washington uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Martin.
Washington moves away from the strike by Martin.
Washington throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Washington lands a nice shot to the body.
Washington is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martin.

Martin swings for the body but Washington moves out of range.

Washington takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Martin thows a left - swing and a miss!

Washington displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martin throws out the jab.
Washington throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Martin to counter with a crisp jab.
Washington misses with a few strikes there.
Washington bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Martin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Martin slips a jab from Washington.
Martin missing with a left hand there. Washington was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Washington drops Martin with a right and a left! Washington comes rushing in but Martin regains his composure and manages to keep Washington in guard.

It looks like Frank Martin has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Washington stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Martin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Washington doesn't defend quickly enough and Martin has managed to lock this one up! Can Washington escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Martin on a fantastic submission victory.
