Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrick Skiter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Slayer! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slayer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Slayer throws a nice looking combination but Skiter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Slayer misses with a double jab.
Skiter connects with a body shot. Slayer has closed the distance and engaged Skiter in a clinch.
Skiter will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Slayer up against the cage. Slayer stalling in the clinch but Skiter improves position. Slayer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Slayer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Skiter's elbow. Slayer breaks from the clinch.
A punch combination from Skiter misses. Skiter takes a swing at Slayer's ribcage but misses. Skiter slips a jab and a cross from Slayer.
Slayer gets the takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slayer lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skiter tries to escape but Slayer is in control. What's Skiter going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Slayer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Skiter is looking for a sweep. Skiter sneaks out the side door and pushes Slayer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Slayer wants to land a leg kick but Skiter is out of range. Slayer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Skiter throws out the jab. Skiter swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skiter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Skiter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slayer.
Slayer throws an overhand right that lands on Skiter's shoulder, as Skiter tries to avoid the shot. Slayer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Skiter is trying to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Skiter controlling the position for now. Skiter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slayer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slayer's back! Slayer tries to roll but Skiter sticks to his back.
Skiter wants to control the position but Slayer frees himself and scrambles - Skiter manages to regain control in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer seems a little lost for a moment, as Skiter dominates the positioning. Slayer tries to buck Skiter off but Skiter is having none of it. Slayer throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Decent striking displayed by Slayer there. Skiter lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Super Slayer has been cut. Slayer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Skiter is trying to defend but Slayer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Skiter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Skiter. Skiter is working an open guard so Slayer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Slayer throws a lazy uppercut
and Skiter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from Slayer. Skiter does a little dance to reset his feet. Super Slayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slayer just misses with a punch to the body.
Slayer looking to score a takedown here. Skiter is defending well but Slayer drives through and ends up in Skiter's guard. Slayer is fighting to break Skiter's control of his arms but Skiter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Skiter pushes Slayer off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Skiter swings for the body but Slayer moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Super Slayer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Super Slayer's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sloppy strikes from Slayer. Those never looked like landing. Slayer throws a one two combo.
Slayer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Slayer trying to control from half guard but Skiter is working away. Skiter is trying to get back to full guard. Skiter works his way to full guard. Good work. Skiter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skiter has his feet on Slayer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A combination from Slayer does no damage. Skiter slips a jab and a cross from Slayer.
Skiter has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Slayer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Skiter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Slayer scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Slayer wants to stand but Skiter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Skiter is looking to stand up but Slayer isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slayer trying to control but Skiter is working from the bottom. Slayer looking to sit in guard and control but Skiter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Super Slayer has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Skiter trying to control the position from guard on top but Slayer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skiter preventing the sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slayer can do anything to dispel that myth. Slayer has a closed guard, preventing Skiter from standing up. Skiter gets to his feet - Slayer follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skiter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Skiter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Slayer momentarily.
Skiter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slayer circles away quickly and effectively. A nice inside leg kick there by Slayer. That's going to slow Skiter down. Slayer ducks under a wild hook from Skiter. Slayer throws a series of punches but Skiter avoids them all with ease. Slayer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Skiter listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Slayer is rocked! Slayer just misses with a punch to the body.
Slayer moves away from the strike by Skiter. Skiter fails to land with a series of punches.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slayer slips a straight right by Skiter. Skiter slips under a jab from Slayer. Skiter throws a hook to the side of Slayer's head but Slayer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slayer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Skiter's half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Slayer in particular looking to stall. Slayer wants to stand but Skiter has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Slayer stops Skiter from getting back to his feet.
Skiter is trying to get back to full guard. Slayer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Skiter keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Slayer is thwarting Skiter's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rodrick Skiter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Super Slayer's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Slayer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Skiter lands a glancing blow to the side of Slayer's head. Slayer is still on wobbly legs! Can Skiter finish him? Skiter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slayer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Slayer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Skiter lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Slayer falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rodrick Skiter! After winning the bout, Rodrick Skiter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
