Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Balboa Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Why (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Why will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balboa Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Why! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Why defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Batista. Why throws a one two combo.
Batista looks for a takedown but Why sprawls well. Batista takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. John Why seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Why loads up on a big right hand but Batista slips the punch. Why tries to bum rush Batista with a series of wild strikes but Batista uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sloppy strikes from Why. Those never looked like landing. Batista shoots in for a double leg but Why sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Balboa Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Batista gets a takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Why can do anything to dispel that myth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Batista not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Batista throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batista passes to side control. Why is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Batista is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Why is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Batista tries for a kimura but Why is defending well. Why wants to control but Batista postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Batista crashes against the mat.
Batista fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Batista tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Batista misses with the ground and pound. Batista wants to lay and pray for a moment but Why keeps working. Batista thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista trying to control the action but Why is working from the bottom. Why wants to control but Batista postures up. Batista advances to full mount. Batista has control of Why's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Why regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Why really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Batista. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Batista looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Batista working for a submission but Why is keeping him at bay. Why is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Batista throwing strikes here but Why is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Why tries to hold on but Batista postures up. Why holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Batista tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Batista thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Balboa Batista dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Batista tries to score a power double leg takedown but Why sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Batista somewhat. Batista takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Batista with a poor takedown and Why counters with a left and a right that stings Batista. Why wants to clinch up but Batista keeps it at a distance. Why bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Batista has his takedown stuffed letting Why counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Balboa Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Batista drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Batista trying to control but Why is working from the bottom. Batista really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Why working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batista stops Why from standing up. Why has his feet on Batista's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Why is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Why misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Why is looking to clinch. John Why is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Why takes the fight into the clinch. Batista has Why pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Why manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Why pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Why defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Batista. Why lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Batista at a distance.
Why lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Batista tries to clinch up. Why throws a series of punches but Batista moves out of range. Why looks to land a combination. Batista sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Why scores with a nice right hand.
Batista tries for a takedown but Why circles away easily and Why makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Why will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Batista shoots in for a takedown but Why shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Why cracks a nice hook into Batista's ribs. Why slaps away a takedown attempt from Batista, before circling back to the center of the mat. Batista with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Why to score with a decent uppercut. Why cracks Batista with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Batista doesn't manage to clinch there - Why circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Batista. A left lands for Why. Batista with a poor takedown and Why counters with a straight that turns Batista's legs to rubber! Why pushes forward with more strikes and Batista goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Why! John Why decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
