Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yushin Matsuzaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewan Turnbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ewan Turnbull!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Matsuzaka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turnbull's waist but Turnbull gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matsuzaka off to one side.
Matsuzaka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Matsuzaka works his way into side control.
Matsuzaka working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Turnbull really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matsuzaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turnbull has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Matsuzaka clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Matsuzaka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Turnbull is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Matsuzaka tries to escape but Turnbull has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Matsuzaka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turnbull moves away.
Matsuzaka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turnbull sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matsuzaka somewhat.

Matsuzaka throws a series of punches but Turnbull avoids them all with ease.

Matsuzaka shoots in and drives through. Turnbull sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Matsuzaka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turnbull is trying to defend but Matsuzaka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Matsuzaka wants to stand up but Turnbull manages to regain full guard.

Ewan Turnbull is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Matsuzaka looks to throw the jab but Turnbull is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matsuzaka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Turnbull to the mat! Turnbull manages to get full guard.
Matsuzaka would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Turnbull is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Matsuzaka looking to sit in guard and control but Turnbull gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matsuzaka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Turnbull pulls his head out easily.
Turnbull is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Matsuzaka!
Matsuzaka is trying to stand but he's just given Turnbull his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turnbull gets his hands free as Matsuzaka looks to control.

Matsuzaka manages to reverse the position and now he's in Turnbull's guard. Nice work there by Matsuzaka.
