Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Magus Arbenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Ruent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Magus Arbenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Ruent! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arbenson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arbenson tries to clinch up but Ruent circles away and keeps his distance. Ruent manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Arbenson on his heels. He'll look to pass Arbenson's guard now, I'm sure. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Arbenson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ruent is one step ahead there. Arbenson is trying to control the position but Ruent postures up. Ruent with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ruent trying to control the position from guard on top but Arbenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ruent is stalling in the full guard. Arbenson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruent slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pete Ruent was stalling too much, according to the referee. Arbenson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ruent manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Arbenson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ruent. Ruent obviously looking to wear him down.
Ruent scores with a one two! Arbenson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A head kick misses from Ruent. Arbenson tries to clinch but Ruent moves away and Ruent counters with a left to the body. Arbenson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruent was well out of range. Poor timing from Arbenson. Arbenson darts in trying to clinch and Ruent counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arbenson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ruent wants to control from the top but Arbenson keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arbenson looking for a sweep. Not yet Arbenson, not yet. Arbenson is trying to keep Ruent in close.
Ruent tries to free his leg and advance position but Arbenson is retaining full guard. Ruent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ruent trying to control but Arbenson is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Arbenson looking to control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Arbenson tries to clinch and Ruent counters with a stiff right hand. Ruent lands a jab to the nose. Arbenson darts in trying to clinch and Ruent connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson tries to clinch up and Ruent counters with a takedown into side control. Ruent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Arbenson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ruent tries to move to full mount but Arbenson actually manages to regain half guard. Ruent is keen to just control but Arbenson is a slippery customer. Arbenson is looking for a sweep. Ruent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Arbenson is controlling Ruent's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruent is thwarting Arbenson's attempts to control the position. Ruent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ruent is controlling the pace.
Arbenson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Arbenson wants to control but Ruent is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Ruent dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ruent changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Arbenson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ruent is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Arbenson tries to improve position but can't. Ruent tries to move into full mount but can't pass Arbenson's legs. Ruent is chipping away with strikes.
Ruent working the ground and pound but Arbenson is defending the strikes. Arbenson can't do much from the bottom here. Arbenson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Arbenson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Arbenson. Ruent tries to free his leg and advance position but Arbenson is retaining full guard. Ruent stands and throws Arbenson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Arbenson struggling a bit here. Ruent trying to control the action but Arbenson is working from the bottom. Ruent is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Arbenson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ruent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arbenson keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruent thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Arbenson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ruent's best efforts. Arbenson trying to hold on to Ruent's head to control him but Ruent postures up.

Ruent has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruent unloading with bombs! Ruent moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Arbenson has worked his arm free - good work by Arbenson!

Ruent is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Arbenson tries to buck Ruent off but Ruent is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ruent looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Arbenson is looking to regain half guard here but Ruent keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Ruent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Arbenson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Arbenson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Arbenson misses with a head kick.
Arbenson drops his hands momentarily and Ruent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Arbenson moves out of range of the leg kick from Ruent. Ruent connects with a looping right hand.
Arbenson tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Arbenson throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Ruent to counter with a crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arbenson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Arbenson moves in looking to clinch but Ruent pushes him off. Pete Ruent seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruent swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ruent avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ruent!
Ruent cracks a nice hook into Arbenson's ribs. Arbenson throws a head kick that half lands.
Arbenson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ruent counters with a left to the body. Ruent lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Arbenson at a distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Arbenson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ruent connects with a jab. Ruent slips a jab and a cross from Arbenson.
Magus Arbenson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arbenson moves in looking to clinch but Ruent pushes him off. Arbenson scores with a decent looking hook.

Arbenson tries to clinch and Ruent counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Arbenson wants to clinch and Ruent counters with a left to the body. Ruent throws a nice outside leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Ruent misses the target. Arbenson tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Ruent to counter with a crisp jab. Arbenson wants to clinch up but Ruent keeps it at a distance. Arbenson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ruent connects with an inside leg kick. Arbenson throws a lazy right hand but Ruent sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Arbenson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson moves to clinch but Ruent breaks away and Ruent counters with a stiff right hand. Ruent circles away from the clinch attempt and Ruent counters with a straight right hand. Ruent fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arbenson sprawls well initially but Ruent persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ruent looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ruent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Magus Arbenson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ruent seems to be looking for submissions.
Pete Ruent has got the better of the ground game so far. Ruent is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arbenson is just riding it out for now. Ruent eventually gives up the hold. Ruent not doing much here.
Pete Ruent is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ruent seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Arbenson is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ruent controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Ruent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ruent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
