Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waleed Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malik comes to the ring accompanied by Can't Be Touched. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sparks swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sparks lands a nice shot to the body.
Malik takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Malik clinches up against the ropes.
Sparks is looking to break free of the clinch but Malik has double underhooks.
Malik's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Sparks has Malik pressed against the ropes.
Malik breaks the clinch.
Malik tries to bum rush Sparks with a series of wild strikes but Sparks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Malik throws a sloppy head kick and Sparks moves out of range easily.
Sparks swats away the attempt to clinch by Malik.

enabling Sparks to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malik doesn't manage to clinch there - Sparks circles away.

Sparks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Malik under the eye.

Malik is looking to score with low kicks.
Malik doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sparks connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sparks throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Malik stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Malik takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Malik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A right-left combo lands from Sparks.
Sparks lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Malik sprawling to the canvas. Sparks follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Malik hang on?
Malik is rocked!
It looks like Waleed Malik has been cut.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sparks is looking for a kimura but Malik is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sparks to get the leverage.
Oh Malik is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sparks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Malik seems to have got his legs back now.
Sparks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sparks misses with a head shot. Malik uses the momentum to regain guard.
Malik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Malik tries to get out of the position.
Sparks is pushing down on Malik's leg trying to pass to half guard. Malik is fighting to maintain full guard but Sparks has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sparks passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Malik!

Sparks goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Malik is on top in guard.

Sparks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Malik is aware though and is defending well.

Malik decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Sparks works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Sparks just misses with a punch to the body.
Sparks connects with a body shot.

Malik misses with a jab, cross combination.
Malik tries to clinch up.
Sparks connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sparks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sparks bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Malik's head.

and Sparks counters with a straight right hand.
Sparks darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Malik takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Malik wants to clinch up but Sparks keeps it at a distance.
Sparks connects with a looping right hand.
Sparks digs a good body shot into Malik's ribs.
That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Sparks connects with a combination that backs up Malik into the ropes. Sparks lands a flurry of punches that gets past Malik's guard. Malik is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Sparks bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
