Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Magellan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. What Ive Done kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson darts in trying to clinch
and Magellan moves into the clinch.
Magellan tightens his grip and picks Jackson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jackson manages to land in guard.
Magellan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Magellan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Magellan, into his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Magellan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.

Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Magellan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jackson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Magellan is proving hard to escape from.
Magellan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson leaves Magellan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Jackson stalks Magellan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Magellan's face. Magellan staggers backwards, shaken.
Jonathon Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magellan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Magellan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Magellan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Magellan has him pressed against the ropes.

Jackson is pressed up against the ropes. Magellan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.

Magellan is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Magellan is looking to escape.
Jackson avoids the attempt from Magellan to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
