Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Soto Major!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Waine Bitterhall!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitterhall throws a head kick but Soto Major moves out of range.

Bitterhall clinches with his opponent.
Soto Major drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bitterhall pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bitterhall looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bitterhall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Soto Major's guard.
Bitterhall is trying to control the action in half guard but Soto Major is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Soto Major is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Soto Major tries to kick Bitterhall off but Bitterhall keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Waine Bitterhall wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bitterhall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bitterhall lands in his opponent's guard.
Soto Major on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Soto Major tries to get out of the position.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bitterhall has eaten all the pies!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Waine Bitterhall was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bitterhall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Waine Bitterhall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bitterhall tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Soto Major has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Bitterhall sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Waine Bitterhall.
Well Bitterhall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
