Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Guy Lover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Khan!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lover connects with an inside leg kick.
Khan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lover counters with a nice leg kick.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lover sprawls well. Lover wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lover as he jumps to the side.
Guy Lover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Khan.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Khan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lover - the referee stops the clock and Khan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lover. Khan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Khan looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lover cracks Khan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Khan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lover finish him?
It looks like Omar Khan has been cut.
Lover cracks Khan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lover has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Khan to stand back up!
Khan is rocked!
Lover throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Khan gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Lover points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Khan wakes up just in time to hear Lover thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guy Lover!
