Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethan Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Jesus!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone tries to clinch but Jesus is having none of it.
Stone works Jesus's body with a nice hook.
Stone lands with a hook. Jesus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Stone moves in looking to clinch but Jesus pushes him off.
Jesus misses the jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stone.
Stone misses with a takedown

so Jesus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jesus postures up.
Jesus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jesus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jesus passes Stone's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jesus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jesus is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jesus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Stone tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jesus has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Stone tries to lock up and control but Jesus gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Jesus goes for an armbar but Stone turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stone.

Jesus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jesus is trying to keep Stone in close.

Jesus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stone has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jesus is proving hard to escape from.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Jesus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jesus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stone has managed to get both his arms back between Jesus's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jesus keeping full guard, as Stone tries to pass.

Jesus working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
Stone is pushing down on Jesus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jesus is fighting to maintain full guard but Stone has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jesus wants to improve his position but Stone is controlling well.

Stone passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jesus!
Jesus is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Stone misses with a head shot.
Jesus regains half guard.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jesus on the ground.
Stone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Stone stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jesus to get to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Jesus misses the target.
Jesus walks into a left hand.
Stone closes the distance and clinches up with Jesus, looking for a takedown. Stone pushes Jesus against the cage but Jesus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jesus sprawls well. Jesus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.

Jesus shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jesus trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Jesus working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stone's head.

Stone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jesus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jesus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now.

Stone scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jesus backs up against the cage.
Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Jesus dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Jesus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Jesus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jesus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jesus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stone has escaped the position, nice work there.
Stone wants to control but Jesus postures up.
Stone is trying to work for a sweep but Jesus has mounted him!
Jesus sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Jesus has control of Stone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jesus tries to control but Stone wriggling away.
Stone is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Jesus looking for a guillotine from mount but Stone is having none of it.
Stone is squirming around, avoiding Jesus's attempts to control the action.

Jesus wants to finish this one by submission but Stone is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jesus.

Jesus looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Jesus has control of Stone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stone is looking to get to half guard.
Jesus is landing with some decent strikes but Stone is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jesus with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jesus jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stone manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Stone can't do much from the bottom here.

Jesus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stone has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jesus swings around for an armbar but Stone sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jesus's guard.

Stone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Jesus has his foot on Stone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stone works his way back into a safe position though.

Jose Jesus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stone thows a body shot but no joy.
Stone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Stone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stone.

It looks like Jose Jesus has been cut.
Stone drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jesus pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jesus pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stone misses with a takedown attempt - Jesus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stone slips a jab and a cross from Jesus.
Stone punishes Jesus's body with a nice straight punch.
Stone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jesus defends it nicely.

Jesus slaps away a takedown attempt from Stone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stone closes the distance and clinches up with Jesus, looking for a takedown. Stone pushes Jesus against the cage but Jesus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jesus throws a punch but it's blocked by Stone.

Jesus pulls Stone into guard.
Stone trying to control but Jesus is working from the bottom.

Jesus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jesus doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Jesus is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stone has his hands clasped together but Jesus extends an breaks Stone's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jesus.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jose Jesus!
In his post fight interview, Jose Jesus started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
