The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
thomas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
thomas thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Pearson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pearson is in a horrible position here. thomas smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
thomas swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pearson is now in thomas's guard. A big mistake from thomas there, giving up the dominant position!
thomas wants to control but Pearson passes easily into half guard.

Pearson is pressing down on thomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. thomas is holding on for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pearson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Pearson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

thomas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
thomas is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pearson reverses the position - he's now on top in thomas's guard.

thomas postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pearson looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, thomas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
thomas is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pearson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Pearson clinches up with thomas and pushes him back against the cage.
thomas is working for takedown but Pearson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pearson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed thomas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pearson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. thomas is working away from the top position though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. thomas connects with a nice short shot to Pearson's temple.

John Pearson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pearson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
