Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lester Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keoki Kaawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lester Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keoki Kaawa!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall dives in and scores a takedown into Kaawa's guard.
Hall throws a big elbow that misses.
Hall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hall stopping the sweep attempt from Kaawa.
Hall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Lester Hall wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kaawa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hall showed some decent athleticism there.

Hall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kaawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Hall circles away.

Kaawa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hall tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaawa is in Hall's guard.
Hall wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hall is adopting a defensive guard.
Hall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kaawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hall is working away from the top position though.
Kaawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kaawa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kaawa lands with a hook. Hall tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kaawa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kaawa fails in his attempt to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hall gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaawa is breathing heavily.
Hall scoring with punches and elbows.
Hall taking a breather here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kaawa is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hall moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The referee asks Hall politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hall prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kaawa for as long as he can get away with.
Kaawa looking for a sweep but Hall has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Poor strikes thrown by Hall there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kaawa seems a little lost for a moment, as Hall dominates the positioning.

Hall unloads with some shots from mount but Kaawa bucks and avoids them well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lester Hall.

Hall shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kaawa is trying to defend but Hall finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kaawa has hold of Hall's hands but Hall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Hall tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well Hall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
