Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Self (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry Self will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry Self! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Self misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Self throws a right and a left that both miss. Self moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Self is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mir. Self looks to land a combination but Mir avoids it well. Self misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mir.
Self tries to bum rush Mir with a series of wild strikes but Mir uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mir avoids the head kick by Self.
Self misses with a jab, cross combination.
Self throws a sloppy head kick and Mir moves out of range easily. Self will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mir could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Self tests Mir's chin there with a solid looking shot. Self fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mir avoids the head kick by Self.
That's one minute gone in the round. Self misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Self throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Self tries to bum rush Mir with a series of wild strikes but Mir uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Self did well to prevent Mir getting side control. Mir is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Self defends it well. Mir is working for a kimura but Self is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mir has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Self defend it? Mir steps over the head and cranks it - Self is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mir!
