Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dougie Diablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn has chosen Kanye West- Amazing as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dougie Diablo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Flynn!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn throws a head kick but Diablo moves out of range.
Flynn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Flynn advances to mount.
Diablo trying desperately to get to his feet.
Diablo wants to control but Flynn is having none of it.
Flynn looking to control and managing it successfully.
Diablo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Flynn wants to control the pace but Diablo is squirming around nicely.
Diablo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Diablo is in trouble now - Flynn has advanced to mount!
Diablo is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flynn is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Flynn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Diablo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Diablo shoots and misses
and Flynn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Diablo shoots in looking for a takedown. Flynn tries to sprawl out of it but Diablo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flynn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Flynn lands with a good body shot.
Diablo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Flynn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diablo somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dougie Diablo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diablo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Flynn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A combination from Flynn does no damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dougie Diablo just wasn't active enough.
Diablo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Diablo seems to be looking for submissions.
Flynn pushes Diablo off looking to stand but Diablo dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flynn can do anything to dispel that myth.
Diablo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Flynn sees it coming and defends easily.
Diablo thows a huge punch but Flynn dodges it nicely.
Diablo is looking to pass Flynn's guard but actually Flynn recovers to full guard.

Diablo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Flynn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Flynn has escaped and now he's on top!
Flynn wanted to stand there but Diablo had control of the position.
Diablo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flynn is controlling him.
Flynn slips nicely into half guard.
Diablo won't allow Flynn to pass to mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Flynn is looking to pass Diablo's guard but actually Diablo recovers to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Flynn dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Flynn throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Flynn tries to bum rush Diablo with a series of wild strikes but Diablo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Flynn throws a right and a left that both miss.
Flynn lands a big head kick that sends Diablo tumbling to the mat! Flynn takes a step backwards and waves Diablo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Diablo is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Diablo is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Flynn just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Diablo has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frank Flynn!
