Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roland Deschain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walt Whitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deschain's entrance music is Giving In-- As made famous by Adema. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walt Whitman! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A shot to the liver by Whitman. Beautiful body shot. Whitman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Deschain tries to move into range but Whitman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Deschain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Whitman sprawls well. Whitman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deschain gets slowly back to his feet. Whitman tries to bum rush Deschain with a series of wild strikes but Deschain uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Deschain throws a series of punches but Whitman avoids them all with ease. Whitman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Deschain looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. This has been an exciting period of action! Deschain misses with a body shot.
Whitman throws out a powerful jab. Deschain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Deschain there as he acknowledges the shot. Deschain defending well as Whitman loads up on a big left hand. Whitman slips under a jab. Nice straight punches there by Whitman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Whitman. Whitman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Whitman fails to land with a series of punches.
Whitman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitman connects with the punch. Deschain slips under a jab. Deschain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Whitman moves away. Deschain clobbers Whitman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Whitman misses with an uppercut. Whitman throws a looping overhand right but Deschain ducks down to avoid it. Walt Whitman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Whitman misses with a double jab.
Whitman slips under a jab from Deschain. Whitman scores with the left hand. Deschain knows he should have avoided that one. Deschain slips a jab from Whitman. Deschain slips a jab and a cross from Whitman.
Deschain lands a nice shot that snaps Whitman's head back.
Whitman missing with a left hand there. Deschain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Whitman lands the left hand. Whitman misses with a hook. Deschain ducked under it nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whitman thuds his right hand into Deschain's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The fighters circling - Whitman throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Whitman might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
