Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jules Clement (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clement comes into the arena with Voyage, Voyage blaring out of the sound system. Picard has chosen The Picard Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clement throws a head kick but Picard moves out of range.
Picard takes one to the chin there.

Clement explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Picard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Picard is looking to take a break and control but Clement is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Clement tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Picard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Picard is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Clement is trying to escape and Picard transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Clement is forced to tap! Nice work there by Picard! Very nice indeed!
