Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Havener!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Justin Torres!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Torres with that takedown attempt.

Havener moves into the clinch.
Havener scores with a hook to the body.

Havener breaks the clinch.

Torres gets tackled into the cage by Havener. Havener maintains the clinch.
Torres jumps guard but Havener turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Havener prevents a takedown attempt there.

Torres tries to pull guard but Havener won't allow it.

Havener gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Torres regains guard.

Havener gets to his feet - Torres follows without any prompting.

Havener walks into a stiff left hand from Torres.
Torres shoots in but Havener avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Havener connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Havener takes the fight into the clinch.
Havener keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Torres's efforts to push away.
Torres misses with a body punch.
Torres looking to stall.
Torres drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Havener gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Torres looks winded!

Havener makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Havener gets control of Torres's arms and successfully pulls guard. Havener will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Havener is trying to keep Torres in close.
Havener wants to sweep here but Torres controlling him for the moment.
Havener has Torres pulled in close to control his posture.

Havener escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Torres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Torres prevents Havener from getting back to his feet.
Havener on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Havener tries to get out of the position.
Havener knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torres on the ground.

Havener looking for a guillotine here but Torres defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Havener wants to stand and escape but Torres is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Havener jabs Torres to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Havener closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Havener is taking a breather. Torres says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We're going to have a standup here because Andrew Havener wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Havener scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Havener lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Torres circles away quickly and effectively.

Havener has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Torres regains guard immediately.
Havener is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Havener has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Havener is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Torres can do to turn this around?
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Havener gets to his feet. Torres looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Havener bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Torres's head backwards.

Havener decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Torres, up you get!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Torres enables Havener to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Torres manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Good leg kick by Havener there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Torres takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
